HORCO has served more than 12,600 orphans,
semi-orphans and destitute children who lost their parents due to
various reasons specially HIV/AIDS and are living in the rural parts
of the country. Among these 6,300 children are residing in welmera,
3,000 children in Gimbichu, 1,500 children in Dessie and Dessie
Zuria Weredas and 1800 children in Tarma-ber Wereda. HORCO has
provided the target children with cloths, schooling materials and
nutritional foods after they have been reunified with their
relatives and/or guardians.
