The program has
been launched with the intention of promoting awareness, Care and
Support on HIV/AIDS in Amhara Region, Tarma-ber wereda and Oromia
Region Gimbichu wereda. The main objective of the project is to
increase awareness of the rural communities on the modes of HIV/AIDS
transmission, methods of prevention and control the epidemic.
Moreover, the program has been aimed at improving the livelihood of
rural communities by extending support and care for children who are
infected and affected by HIV/AIDS including people living with
HIV/AIDS. This program has benefited 1,157 people directly and
290,000 people
indirectly in both
weredas.
