Hope
for Rural Children and Orphans (HORCO) is a
non-governmental, not for profit and developmental organization
established in 1995 by the initiative of highly committed Ethiopians.
HORCO has been established to promote the welfare of the marginalized and
poor sectors of the society. It focuses mainly on children and women who
are the most vulnerable group of the society and are thus exposed to the
ill effects of under development. But it is also engaged in the overall
advancement of the rural Ethiopian society that is not in the center of
the focus of government institutions.
